Saxophonist Neil Welch shares the stage tonight with bassist Abbey Blackwell and drummer Mike Gebhart.

For this new set, Neil limited himself to composing each piece from start to finish in under 30 minutes. The tunes are little bursts of compositional energy, using quarter-tones in be-bop phrasing, lots of space for blowing, and a detailed, topographical approach to improvising together.
